Kassi joined the Being Financial team in Harrisonburg, VA, in November 2025 after six years with Ameriprise Financial, including three years as a licensed advisor.
Kassi grew up on a small farm in Rockingham County where her family had all types of animals and she learned firsthand the challenges and rewards of agricultural life. From a young age, she had a strong love for animals and for building relationships, which naturally led to her first career working in the veterinary world for 10 years.
After becoming a mother, Kassi felt called to do more for the people around her. When an opportunity in the financial industry came along, she made the transition. Kassi has always had a heart for helping others and it fills her soul to help individuals—especially farmers—navigate major decisions, plan for the future, and manage the financial ups and downs that life brings. She was drawn to Being Financial because of its commitment to authenticity, community, and seeing the bigger picture of a person’s life. She’s passionate about protecting natural spaces and supporting local farmers through clean, sustainable living.
Kassi and her husband now live on a 17-acre hobby farm in Augusta County, with their daughter, and a lively array of rescued animals, including horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, a steer, and a bunny. When she’s not helping clients, you’ll likely find her outdoors—gardening, grooming horses, fishing, hunting, or baking.
Fun fact: Horses have been in her blood since the early 1900s along with her husband’s family. Kassi’s family owned and showed Tennessee Walking Horses in the 1940s with the main horse being Merry Go Boy. Growing up, her family had Spotted Saddle Horses, traveling to Tennessee for the Celebration Show along with every local event in the Shenandoah Valley. Her husband’s family showed and competed with Quarter Horses focusing on timing events, with the favorite being Rider Pickup. Now, her daughter has started a new journey in the horse industry for the family, Hunter Jumper.
