The Five Years That Can Change Your Retirement

Part of the Being Financial Retirement Roadmap Experience

Retirement Roadmap Consultation & Educational Dinner

Social Security • Medicare • Retirement Income • Retirement Planning

Bella Luna Wood-Fired Pizza | Harrisonburg, Virginia

Retirement is rarely defined by a single decision.

Instead, it often involves a series of important choices about Social Security, Medicare, retirement income, taxes, investments, healthcare, estate planning, and legacy planning. Many of these decisions happen within just a few years of one another, making this one of the most important planning periods of your financial life.

The Retirement Roadmap Experience was created to help individuals and couples throughout Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and the Shenandoah Valley better understand these decisions through a two-part educational experience that combines a one-on-one consultation with an educational dinner seminar.

What Is the Retirement Roadmap?

Navigate the road to retirement with Being Financial in our Retirement Red Zone Seminar SeriesThe Retirement Roadmap is the framework that guides the Retirement Roadmap Experience.

Rather than looking at Social Security, Medicare, retirement income, taxes, investments, healthcare, estate planning, and legacy planning as separate decisions, the Retirement Roadmap helps organize them into one connected planning journey.

Together, we’ll begin mapping the financial milestones that often occur before and during retirement, including:

  • Your retirement goals
  • Social Security timing considerations
  • Medicare eligibility
  • Retirement income planning
  • Required Minimum Distributions
  • Personal retirement priorities

Your Retirement Roadmap begins during your one-on-one consultation and continues throughout the educational dinner seminar.

As you continue through the planning process, your Retirement Roadmap can become a visual guide for future conversations, helping connect important retirement decisions over time.

Social Security, Medicare, and the Decisions That Surround Them

For many people, retirement planning begins with questions about Social Security or Medicare, but those are only part of the picture.

You may be asking questions such as:

  • When should I begin taking Social Security?
  • How does Medicare fit into my retirement plan?
  • How might these decisions affect my retirement income?
  • What role could taxes play during retirement?
  • How do investments, pensions, and other income sources work together?
  • Which retirement decisions should I make first?

These decisions often influence one another. Looking at them individually may not provide the full picture.

The Retirement Roadmap Experience is designed to help you better understand how these pieces fit together and how they may relate to your own retirement journey.

How the Retirement Roadmap Experience Works

Your experience is designed in two parts.

Retirement Roadmap part 1 - consultation, part 2 - educational complimentary dinner

Part 1 — Retirement Roadmap Initial Consultation

Before attending the educational dinner, you’ll meet one-on-one with a member of the Being Financial team for a 45–60 minute Retirement Roadmap Consultation.

During your consultation, we’ll:

  • Learn about your retirement goals and priorities.
  • Discuss your biggest retirement questions.
  • Introduce the Retirement Roadmap.
  • Begin mapping important retirement milestones and planning considerations.
  • Explain how the educational dinner builds on your consultation.

Your consultation also confirms your reservation for the educational dinner.

Part 2 — Educational Dinner Seminar

After your consultation, you’ll join us at Bella Luna for a complimentary educational dinner and retirement planning seminar focused on many of the important financial decisions people encounter as they approach retirement.

Topics may include:

  • Social Security claiming considerations
  • Medicare planning basics
  • Retirement income planning
  • Tax planning considerations
  • Investment coordination
  • Estate and legacy planning
  • Common retirement planning questions

Throughout the seminar, we’ll continue using the Retirement Roadmap introduced during your consultation to help connect these topics into one planning framework.

Who Should Attend?

This educational experience is designed for individuals and couples throughout Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Bridgewater, Dayton, Elkton, Broadway, Timberville, and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley who are:
