Meet Nathan Leo
NJ Partner Advisor and Financial Planner
Nathan Leo joined Being Financial in January 2021 bringing dedication, warmth, and a genuine passion for helping clients build their financial futures. Operating out of BeFi’s satellite office in Medford, NJ, Nate serves individuals and families throughout the upper Mid-Atlantic region.
A proud graduate of William Paterson University, Nate earned both a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics. During his college years, he also guarded the net as goalie for the university’s ice hockey team, a role that taught him the discipline and resilience he brings to his practice today.
Before university, Nate spent four years playing for his hometown team, the New Jersey Hitmen, a top organization in the United States Premier Hockey League. Alongside his athletic pursuits, he worked on TV and movie sets in the New York/New Jersey area, gaining a unique appreciation for teamwork and behind-the-scenes dedication.
Originally from Little Ferry, NJ, Nate later moved to Richmond, VA, to support his then-girlfriend, now wife, Madison, while she attended Physician Assistant school. While in Richmond, Nate spent two years building his expertise and serving clients who live in the Richmond, VA area. During this time, he also met Jared and joined Being Financial.
In 2023, Nate and Madison returned to New Jersey to be closer to their families. Nate opened BeFi’s Medford office in 2024 as a partner advisor, dedicated to serving clients seeking thoughtful, relationship-driven financial planning. At the heart of Nate’s work are his core values: Meaningful Work, Excellence, Integrity, Happiness, and Growth; principles that guide every conversation and recommendation he has with clients.
When he’s not guiding clients on their financial journey, Nate loves spending time with Madison and their two beloved dogs, Chesney and Milo. He also enjoys playing golf, lacing up the skates, exploring new cultures through travel, and attending “watch” events that fuel his passion for horology.
